Shohin Hibiscus Rose

Just thought I'd share with you one of my Hisbiscus trees I've been working on for the past year. It's a Hibiscus Rose. It's only about 5 1/2 inches tall. There's a local nursery that carries so many different varieties of hibiscus and I've found several that are great for bonsai. This is one of them. After defoliation, smaller leaves grew in and new flower buds which are close to blooming. The flower is red with a maroon throat. As soon as I get a full flower I'll post again. The center of the trunk is rotted out and could probably be hollowed out.
