I have recently been starting a few new projects using Larix laricina - tamaracks for material. I love the looks of this conifer and the way the needles turn gold in the fall. Has any one else tried training these fast growing trees with any success?

I have numerous collected stock now and have just chopped the trunk on a couple last fall. My daughter stuck the cut off tops into my growing area last fall telling me she was going to "save" them. To my complete surprise they are both budding out this spring!

Please let me know of your experiances with these.
