Spring Show
Hi all, I would like the patrons of this forum to have an outlet to show their trees in a show setting without belonging to a club or the like. With the help of Matt, to start a new catagory, titled Treebay Show, or something. Everyone would be welcome to show their best bonsai. The start date could be around April first, and run for the summer, then in Fall we could do it all over again. We could also do a winter sillouete show if folks wanted. Trees should be on bonsai stands, photographed against a dark or solid color background, a table should have a neutral color cloth on top, dark red or blue work good, pushed back to the dark back ground wall. trees should also include sueseki, accent plants, yixing tea pots, or carvings. A scroll could be hung on the background wall if you own one. Trees should be well manicured, have moss and or topping, and be in excellant health. A small caption giving name of plant, height, years in training, and style. ie: Chinese Elm, Moyogi, 27" high, In Training 100 years
I think this could be the start of something good (The Treebay CyberShow) I can see this spreading to other disscussion groups fast, so lets make happen fast and be the trend setter.
Any ideas, or comments? Best regards, Bonsaial, Al Keppler
