I wouldn't put a "developed" bonsai on a rock.

In this specific case, you have subtle taper and a little movement. The tree would look fine in a bonsai pot as a slant style with photo #3. However, if you plant it on a rock it has to grow for a long time - like ten years, with the kind of growth you'd need to encourage to get the root hugging effect - you might as well start from scratch.
