Going into fall is not the time to trunk chop. This or most any drastic procedure on a Ficus should be done in late spring when the tree is entering it's fast growth period of the year. Where to chop depends on what kind of style you are going after with this tree. For a straight trunk you could probably chop at branch A but you'll have a hard time keeping the trunk straight and without bulges. You would be better off to get a new branch in that area and train that upward from an early age.
