The Plan

I have had this juniper about ten years. Ever since the first time I saw this tree I have been looking at it sideways, wondering what it might look like as a cascade. Today was the first day it was ever photographed. My suspicions appear to be correct! It looks like it will make a wonderful cascade or semi-cascade!

For the first five years I just continued to let it acclimate to the box (really a crate) in which it had been planted by the gentleman who collected it.

In 2002 I found a mica pot that looked like it would be big enough to do what I had in mind:
