Re: Japenese gardener in Central Ohio

You are very lucky indeed! I received a telephone call recently from a gentleman who had purchased a home in the area and was looking for someone to dismantle a beautiful Japanese Garden that made up the entire back and side yards of his home. There were mature pines, camellia, japanese maple and cryptomeria and a professionally made pond in concrete with huge moss encrusted boulders all over.

Somebody's life's work. This guy wanted a lawn where he could play football with his son!

You might take a drive around the neighborhood and see if you can find any landscaping in a similar style that you admire and inquire as to who is doing the work. It's very easy to mess up a nice garden. We had a nice maple nearly destroyed once. Be sure to be home while the gardeners are there, at least until you develop a working relationship.
