Good to see that you found us again.
Protect your pot and roots from freezing with mulch or straw, after it snows pile snow on top of the mulch or straw. Put a fraim of some sort around the top of your trees to protect them from the wind. In Japan you will see them put there bonsai under there benches and then wall them off with bamboo fencing, air can get in and out but winds get broken up. Under the snow is moisture but no sub zero tempratures.
Now having said all of that I also must say that I am in central california and have never had to use any of these techniques. So listen to Als advice and find a local who has had success in your environment.
