Collected Larix Laricina Shohin
You know those drawings you see in many design books on branching. The one like Mr John Naka has in his BT1 (page 41) with branches going every which way, crossing, turnin, dangling and tangling?
I collected this 7.5 inch Larix laricina from a brush hogged stretch of swamp locally. Many more where this came from btw.
I dont really have any technical questions for you, but want to get your opinion on the material. I obviously have some thinking to do, branch options are at a premium and I think I am lucky in this manner. So many options!
But, there is only a right combination of choices that will make or break this as a bonsai.
I will post updates over the weekend, but I really would like to get your thoughts and opinions on it.
Virtuals would be also appreciated, I know back ground isnt great but, hey, I just pulled this out of a snow bank this morning, and didnt event clean it up.....Hows that for cabin fever!?
I got many of these to work with, this is numero uno.
Paul
