Over the last four years I have collected 5 California junipers from Southern California and in each case I soaked the tree one hour in Superthrive before potting.

Experienced collectors in my club say that usually one in every three collected Calif. junipers survive.

In my case, all five are alive and growing.
To be in line with the stated odds, I should have had 10 dead junipers by now.

It may just be a coincidence. Or it may be that California junipers love Superthrive. I don't pretend that I know the truth.

I also recite a little nursery rhyme every time I pot a collected juniper.
It seems to be working.
