I'm having a terrible time finding materials around here. I tried to contact the local Bonsai club, but my e-mails haven't been responded too. Mostly I need to find materials for a couple different soil mixtures. I have a dward schefflera and two junipers. I'm not really sure where to go to look for what I need though. I have found peat moss easily enough and potting soil is everywhere, though it's not what I want to use. I saw perlite when I was looking today and wondered if it would work as an inorganic. Also, I was told that loam is a good ingredient as well as lava rock and coarse sand, but I can't seem to find any of these things. Am I looking in the wrong stores or just the wrong sections? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
