I'm not sure if you like this but I did a little virtual of the "left side".

The branch is wired downwards gradually and the bottom branches is left to give a nice old feel to this pine. The branch that comes down makes up for any "bareness" of this tree. The roots this way also show why the tree is bent this way, does not poke at the viewer. The branch on the left also harmonises with the bend of the trunk to the left.

...I hope...hehe.
