Well Here I Go
About 3 years ago I got this crazy idea that I would like to learn me a new hobby and bonsai was it. After doing all the usual wrong things , I thought hey check out the internet and well here I am. I have learned alot from everyone and seeing how its almost repotting time here in Tennessee why not post a picture and see what everyone thinks it is the onlyway to truly learn .
Here is some info about the tree
Japanese Black Pine
8" tall
6.5" wide
1/2" diameter
soil kitty litter ( I will never do that again I promise )
What I hope to do
remove any unnssary branches and wire the rest
repot in a shallower but wider grow box
soil : turface ,pine bark and coarse sand
maybe put in ground if nessary
Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated to help me get started down the bonsai road and I hope to drag as many of you as I can with me.Thanks
Steve
