The shape was not bad, but the pruning was too drastic and would set back the healing of the large rear wound for some time. We also need a bit more structure for the canopy at this time.
Another option is removing the center branch, which seems to be a better balanced option. Again, the towel is put in place to consider the result.
(Keep in mind that the silhouette of the tree is not the problem. We are looking at the structure of the branches and trying to figure out how to make it more orderly and treelike.)
