Another problem is there is a large wound on the rear side of the tree. This is probably where the plant was "topped" at about a foot tall from a 3 or 5 gallon standard
Unless the wound is properly treated, it will not heal in a satisfactory way, and this side of the tree will be weaker and less attractive.
