Chinese Elm and Dormancy
Hi all, Here it is Mid February and I just did a careful review of my trees in Dormancy. All seems well. A question has come up. Of my five Chinese Elms, two still have green leaves on them. Are there different types of Ulmus Par. that will keep their leaves green through the dormancy? Are these trees not dormant? The trees in question are in an unheated garage with temps between the low 20's and high 30's. They are near a north facing window. Everything looks fine but this confuses me! thanks Jay
