I think mangroves grow by river sides? or lakes? So what you'll need to do is plant it on wet soil...with lots of water next to it too..perhaps even create an artificial lake...and the roots grow down and up the water or mud to recieve their oxygen...

I thiiiink...well...that's what the discovery channel says..haha
