Matt,
I have up to 6.0mm aluminum wire. I know copper holds better but larger size copper wire is expen$ive. Do you think it would be ok to use copper for the parallel pieces (my local hardware store sells about any size copper wire you could want) then use the aluminum to wrap the trunk in the usual manner? Or should I just suck it up and dish out the $ for copper wire for the entire project?
