Re: flourescent lighting for bonsai?

I was advised by a nurseryman who specializes in bonsai that incandescent bulbs are better than flourescent. I am using both but have not seen a lot of difference so far. The incandescent bulbs are farther from the plants of course. 120 watt bulb is 3 to 4 feet above the plants. All the plants are responding well and growing new shoots. I have the lights on timers set for 18 hours of light per day. All bulbs, both incandescent and flourescent, are full spectrum bulbs.

I am certainly no expert but they seem to work for me.
