Hi There nightline,

The rocks themselves are no real danger. It's just that having a thick pad of matted glue and rock uses up a lot of that precious soil-to-air interface in your pot, and it can lead to rot and uneven watering.

If you've removed the bulk of the mess, you should be fine. You can add a little more soil or some "unglued" gravel to the surface to hide the glue remnants and get after them at your first repotting.
