hello,
If a trident maple has dropped its leaves for fall (from a northern climate, zone 5b), and is then subsequently moved to a southern locale (zone 9b), could the maple be expected to respond as though it were defoliated? I am thinking that if this maple were moved here, it would put forth new growth, as there is a considerable amount of growing season left. Winter (if it can be called that) does not really come here until late December/ early January-if at all.
thanks
