Your tongue will freeze there in Vermont ski country, where you can expect (a few) days to get down to -30 (excluding wind chill); nights (of course) are lower.
The explanation is easy. This wind starts in Siberia, blows over the polar ice cap, and hits Vermont (and New Hampshire).
The good news is that they often close the ski lifts those days, so you can hudle over your kiln.
