Thanks, Al! I've fallen in love with this particular (set of) species. This tree started it all for me, but the thing that really did it was walking for the first time through the Olympic Rainforest here on the Washington state coast. They grow amazingly, there.

In addition to a few trees in various stages of development, I have a few dozen seedlings of various sizes. My long-term plan is to try to figure out how to capture the essence of their grow habits in the rainforest here. More on that soon....
