Finding trees
Please do not think that I am being smart.
Buy your first book and start reading. I would suggest getting the Sunset Bonsai book from your local hard ware store. This is very inexpensive and easy to find, it also has a large overview of Bonsai and proper techniques.
Cypress and pine are bad cutting material and extreemly dificult airlayering material.
I would say to start your collection in a different manor.
