Yesterday I went in to find the lifelines and clean up the deadwood. This is the result. More carving will be done on the lower left nub. The tub is cut at the odd angle to match the top of the rootball. I pulled the tree from the tub to reposition it closer to the final planted angle, taking care not to disturb the roots too much, and then I put it right back into the tub. This allowed following the lifeline to the roots. Moss was placed on the surface to keep the soil from washing away and keep all of the roots alive until repotting when the soil line can found. The plan is to style this fall and repot in the spring.

Any ideas out there for arranging the foliage? Pot suggestions?

David
