Ouch! Green is about the last color I'd use, because it makes the leaves disappear**. I attached a couple variations below.
In any case, when it is in flower, the pot color is less significant, but you can see it makes a lot of difference. I'd put blue first on a tropical like this, then perhaps brown over any color of green, but that's a personal preference.
As far as the pot is concerned, you could always make another, right?
**Actually I should revise that to say that a pot the same color as the leaves sort of blurs the silhouette and makes the "design triangle" of the branches disappear. That's probably more accurate.
