Ok. I'm probably going to make an a** out of myself but here goes. As a relative beginner, if I saw this at the local nursery with a $35 tag on it, I'd probably pass it by.
1. too busy.. I wouldn't know where to start
2. too many chopped off branches... results in many ugly scars or too many jins
3. don't know about pines... I don't know if I can take care of it so look for something <$10

I can see this is going to be a great lesson and I'm looking forward to what Walter says. Thanks.
