Hi Walter,

That is pretty much along the lines of what I was originally thinking. I got the tree for free from a friend who was cleaning out his stock. It had only 4 branches but for some reason I had a vision in my head of what I thought could look pretty nice. Maybe it was the 1 1/2" trunk on a Hinoki that I just couldnt bear to give up on. Unfortunately like many ideas I couldnt quite get this to look as I had envisioned. I have been quite unsatisfied with the result and was planning to just put it in the ground and let it grow when I saw this and thought maybe you could see something that I had missed. However as is usually the case, poor stock makes poor bonsai. Thank you for your honesty. I will put it in the ground as you suggested and we'll see what happens.
