Here they are in all their glory. I'll admit I was still pretty skeptical about how they would do in the full sun with just this lattice protecting them. I'm happy to say that here it is mid July with temps every day hovering around 100deg. and not a fried leaf yet. I keep the tridents all the way in the back so as to get only a few morning hours of direct sun and the rest dappled sun from the lattice. The ch. elms get front row seat because the can take full sun with no problem. All the pots in the front row seat and even some in the rear get covered with old towels to protect the roots from cooking. I must say everything is working just the way I had hoped it would. Forgot to mention that this pic was taken just before the lattice was put on.
