After purchasing a new built home in a new neighborhood, i knew the first thing I would have to do to fight the Texas heat and sun, was to build new benches that would have a good amount of sun protection also. The last place I lived at nice huge trees for partial shade in the summer. It will probably be another twenty years before i see that at my new place. so in Jan. the work began. Here is a pic of the benches before placing the lattice on the tops and backs.
