"Nothing wrong with that". Absolutely not! Especially when the results are as beautiful as the examples you regularly display. The question comes from the fact that almost all of my work to this point (mostly small junipers) end up looking like bonsai rather than trees. It seems the trick of great bonsai (the one's that really capture my imagination, anyhow) is to be as naturalistic as possible while remaining "inside the lines" of classically balanced composition. Thanks again for the insight and inspiration.
