Re: Boxwood group
Rene, I am very glad you posted the boxwood group. It gave us the chance to learn with your experience. I am just a novice who has read a couple of books. Having said that, here are my comments:
a) I think the triangular shape would be important if it was one tree. With a forest, there are other criteria more important. Like the depth. One can get depth putting the larger trees in front and the smaller ones behind. The tree group posted by Mr. Crow, for example has the larger tree at one end, the most visible one. This also gives a sense of depth. I would find another big boxwood, same size as the dominant one and put in the group.
b) I agree also in that the trees should be straightened up a little bit.
c) The trees look very healthy and I would love to see them nex spring. Best of lucks.
