If you click ***GALLERY*** and type in SQUASHED JUNIPER in the gallery search you can see a couple examples of some amazing shohin that were created in less than a decade.

Basically the technique involves wiring out a long whip of shimpaku juniper and then crumple it into a tangled ball. As it grows an interesting shape is developed.
