Hey to all -

I'm a 23yr old male - yea I was not drug here thanks, that has been interested in Bonsai's in general for about 5 to 7 years now. I started early with a love for plants and things along those nature due to just having a plant happy mom or something - eh. Anyway - I ended up being able to grow things better than her, much to her frustration heh, and have tried to stay true to my 'roots' ever since. While I shucked my rose gardens [for now], my african violets, marble queen, random easter lilys and many other plants - I kept the 'growing' love - and found a stylistic love in the designing of Bonsai's quite appealing. Going from a want to be comic artist at a young age to now a start up Art Director - as my design style matured - the concept of growing a plant into the shape and feel - the design - I want has been a maddeningly sensible thing for me. Drawn to Bonsai sold at random locations for years I've picked up quite a few - and always made bad decisions hah. Once it was buying 2 - one for myself and my old best friend to put on our 'new desks' at a very piss poor start up localily - left outside over the weekend they were destroyed by bunnies that lived in the backyard in cages of the startup. Dont' ask.

Years passed, I begin to date a girl, went to Seattle with her - bought a lovely Serissa at the warnings of "don't buy this" from the Bonsai garden owner - and then promptly made the mistake of listening to her dad about "oh yea - in Seattle the car's never heat up - just leave it in the car while we shop..."

Nix one lovely lovely serissa.

Not to give up, I bought another 2 Bonsai's after returning home, one for me and one for the gf, and tried to get those to go a bit better. Well she let her's die - sometime after we broke up heh, but years later my little tree is still kicking.

Of course. I did buy one more - beatiful blue spruce specimen about 6 months ago. Put it in our office. Left it with our president to care for while I went on a trip. And came back to a dead tree But hey - now I know not to trust him with watering hah.

I have only my one Juniper currently, perched on my window seal as I type actually, and am looking to collect many more. Now having a good start up company - in a office and downtown vs a house with rabbits right outside downtown haha - I want to go ahead and decorate with more and more bonsai's. That in mind, and knowing I'll probably need more help with understanding the dynamics and variables in growing indoors in a office enviorment - and not wanting to have ONLY Junipers all my life heh - I happy join this forum. I'll be spuratic some months - but overall, I look forward to long term membership - I won't be burning out on my pottree's here - and hopefully the forum won't be going anywhere either
