Re: Ginkgo
In my experience Ginkgos are very root hardy. Here in Wisconsin mine have withstood temps of 0º F!
This is a fall 2000 photo of a Ginkgo that I purchased as a one year graft in 1976. It has been pot grown all it's life. The cultivar is *Autumn Gold*. The buds have just started to turn green. I repot it every 2 years because of the rapid root growth. It is now in a shallow round container and is about 32" tall.
I think the secret is strong morning sun and a little shade in the afternoon and alot of fertilizer and water.
I'll post a picture when it has some leaves on it. I just took some pictures to be developed today.
