Larch Project
While working hard on many many, trees putting them out of winter storage I stumbled over this larch. I figured that I must style it immediately, otherwise the foliage would come out in a couple of days and it would be too late again for this year.
This tree was collected about ten years ago in the Alps. I put it into the growing field for five yers and then planted it into this pot. It had many live branches which died one after the other from fungus, as larches often do. I left it alone for a couple of years and just one of the branches survived and lookes very healthy now. It is possible for trees to compartmentalize themselves - create physical and chemical boundaries which make it impossible for fungus to go any further. It looks like the larch has done just that.
