the reason nobody wanted it was because it didn't resemble a bonsai at all. It was planted in an old oil drain pan. As I mentioned, it was probably about four ft. in height. If it wasn't for my wife telling me to reconsider before throwing it out, it woul be gone now. I'm glad I did and I'm glad the person who gave it to me didn't want it anymore.

Yes that one trunk in the front that crosses over is the only major defect. As we know this is a no no in bonsai. If I don't lose that trunk and develop new growth on the farthest trunk on the right, This will just be another ho hum specimen.
