Re: Carmona question
I'm only a beginner but here goes:
This is from the BCI Species guide at
http://www.bonsai-bci.com/species/fukien.html
"Temperature: Ehretia prefers temperatures between 60-72F in winter, although occasional dips into the forties produce no ill effects. In the summer, most books recommend protection from extreme heat, although the plant has been successfully grown in sweltering Texas weather. Ehretia does not like draughts." Also, they should only have one hours direct sunlight per day.
It's not normal - do you turn the tree so each side gets equal light? It sounds like one side has died off due to lack of light. Hope that helps!
