maybe a boganvillia would be the go , they're incredibly fast growers and they cling well to things like fences ect ,
maybe it would look good surrounded by live cypress(or something like them)
just like a huge old monolith in the middle of a forest,
but in my mind the stump looks like it should be in a swamp scene
