Hey Pat,

Thank you very much for the insite and the kind word's. The first thing I wanted to do was start trimming this and that. So I just sat there drank my ice tea and envisioned what could be done.

I'm looking into signing up with the redwood empire bonsai society. I live about 15 minutes from where they meet. I'm having a little trouble getting the schedule times and when you can actually get in with them. They have there large show next month that I'm really looking forward to.

That's a great idea on sharing a few tree's. I will offer that in a heart beat. I have 3 acres of what we call the swamp mainly because of the oak's, blackberrys and mosquito's. Then I have 20 acres of hillside with rocky shale ground covered in oaks and buckeye's. Would you suggest I see there work first or do a little research before I let some one out there?

I have a couple of oaks I've started from acorn's and I have a cork bark oak that was 12 foot tall that I have worked with for a couple of year's and now stands 14" tall. But I realize buying it in a pot is a major diffrence than collecting one from the ground.

If any one is interested in any of this let me know. And the fact I'm in the excavation business and have a lot of heavy equipment I will have to learn how to dig by HAND again!

Thanks again Pat.
