I just remembered this post the other day while FINALLY getting all my tropicals out of the house on May 29th.
Probably about 2 weeks later than usual this year.
Immediately after finishing the haul out....
frost warning for the night...
so....
wife and I moved all of them into the greenhouse for a few more days.
I think I'll start doing this as soon as I get hardy plants out in spring as MOST days its pretty nice in there early and completely empty then. At least nicer than under light racks.
But , unfortunately those 48 hour days haven't come around yet and spring repotting of hardys and pot making are eating up the first 24 hrs of each day!
Anyway, As I took this tree out I cleaned it up a bit, and cut back ,and shortened some more, removed a few branches, and wired it.
I think it is starting to shape up although slowly.
This year it will get about 4 months outside!
Later in summer when hot and humid I'll move it into a better pot.
BTW, the larger tree shown in this thread was again shortened seriously. Hopefully I can get a few shots in a few months as it leafs out and is looking more compact and....well...shorter!
