This looks like a good starter set to me. Add a pair of chopsticks and a tweezer and you should be good to go for at least a couple years.
Be sure not to inadvertently cut any wire with the cutters or stones with the scissors. Use a different pair of shears on your roots. Tools don't hold up well to that environment (especially inexpensive ones)
