You are "...looking to get an indoor tree...". Near College Park...or not.
Take a look at http://www.fukubonsai.com/for a great selection of Hawaiian "indoor bonsai". They offer four sizes starting at $20...$12 shipping to anywhere in the US.
They are not the best examples of bonsai...however, not bad for starters.
Try them...you may like them. Or not.
