Hi, another newbie here. I am 30 years old and began learning about bonsai 2 years ago. (spring 2001)
I do not have anything I would consider bonsai yet, but do have several promising potensai aswell as many seedlings and cuttings.
Some of my favorite trees I'm working with are Acer palmatum, Larix decidua, Ulmus hollandica 'Jacqueline Hillier', Chaenomeles speciosa 'Texas Scarlet', and many Azaleas.
I am also experimenting with several native species including, Pseudotsuga menzeisii, Tsuga heterophylla, Pinus contorta, Pinus monticola, Acer circinatum and Alnus rubra.
I have been lurking the forums for a few weeks and posted a couple times. Looks like a great bunch of people here. A good mix of novices and experts.
I'm looking forward to posting more in the future.
