There is no such thing as centrifugal force. (The real force is centripetal force) Too much physics to go into now, but this is the most common misconception in the study of circular motion.

However, I believe plants grow upwards because up flavour tastes better than down flavour. Or is it gravity. They grow outwards and bend their branches to gather more light though.
