I was going to title this thread teaching the high plains drifters but I thought some sensitive types might get their feelings hurt. The question is what force or forces on this earth determines how a tree, plant aligns itself? Lets start with a basic scenario of an environment with no wind, snow, sand storms, copper wire and skunk apes. Why does a tree try to grow straight into the atmosphere (sky) and what is the major influence?
