Its really going to depend on how well your soil drains. If there is ANY possiblility that it doesnt drain fast enough, err on the side of caution and set it somewhere out of the worst of the rain, but where it gets as much sun as possible. We get huge amounts of rain here, but its actually spread out so that we dont get much HEAVY rain. I have been keeping my 'drownable' plants (including a few junipers I have recently repotted) on my covered porch, where they get full morning sun, shaded mid-day, and some late afternoon sun, but I can control the amount of water they get. Whatever you do, keep an eye on it, and make sure its not drowning.
