Do not get caught digging these without permission(I know whole ball of wax and a million posts), railroad fees are VERY expensive, and if they feel they need to repair a hole you dig near tracks( you will have NO say in the matter, and it will be their crew of 5-6 guys that fix what you did), your bank account won't be very happy.But if you have permission, and they are going to agent orange the place then by all means dig em up.
