He told me he bought it from a bonsai dealer a few years ago, as a 'patio pine'. I don't think it's ever seen a bonsai pot, it has been trained in some sort of unformal upright style but I think it was intended to be a specimen tree for someone's garden. Wierd huh? Unfortunatly it hasn't been repotted or pinched back for a while, so it's a bit scruffy.

He has a couple of large trees like this, but I think he wants to keep hold of them. I'm gonna help him do a repot at some point.

He wouldn't accept any money for it. I even offered him a BC but he didn't want any more trees or plants, too busy to deal with any more so he says! He wants the pot back though, for an xmas tree. I have a couple I could pot up for him.
