Hey Vic I like it, you shouldn't have to thin. I have found that one to two years in these small pots and the leaves and stems reduce in size- even with fertilizer. Do you know what variety it is? We have probably 60 varieties of minihostas (most came from the Miniature Plant Kingdom). I am still looking for a variety known as "Blue Mouse Ears".
